Take note of what scientists have discovered about thinning hair and how to treat it. A hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) has been found to be a leading hair loss culprit. It will bind to your hair cells and if you don't control it, guess what? You will experience hair loss.

And this hair loss will continue to occur at a faster and faster rate until you get control of DHT. So now you know that DHT is one reason for why you may be losing hair. Another cause for hair loss is lack of vital nutrients in the body system.

If you're not eating the right kinds of food on a daily basis, then you will definitely continue to suffer with this problem. Magnesium, zinc, iron, biotin, saw palmetto, and pumpkin seed are all great sources for hair growth. There are even certain minerals you need in order to trigger some rapid hair growth you will be proud of.

A few of these minerals are chromium, iodine, and sulfur. You can find these minerals in such things as seaweed, kelp, iodized salt, and even seafood.
